About the Press

Glass Creature Editions exists to inquire into the lines between book and body, art and artist, process and publication -- while centering experimental and collaborative work. 

In doing so, it speculates -- and reaches toward alternative ways of being, making, and doing that reject the standardized, idealized, and commodified systems prevalent within our everyday life. In speculation, Glass Creature hopes we can find concepts and ideas that inspire us to do this work -- this reaching -- and to find footholds to bring more artworks and publications (and all the things that lie in between) forward.

This press operates within the Greater Toronto Area, on the lands of the Haudenosaunee, the Wendat, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, and the Mississaugas of the Credit.
